Creating a screenshot using Windows

Nearly every Windows compatible keyboard has a key called 'PrtSc' which you can usually find next to the F12 key. PrtSc is short for Print Screen, it enables you to make a copy of your current screen. After pressing this key, nothing seems happen at first. However, a copy of your screen has been placed on the clipboard and is ready for use.
After pressing PrtSc, start the application 'Paint' and use the key combination for pasting; 'Ctrl+V'. You will now have pasted the copied image of your screen into Paint.
You can now modify this image to your liking; add circles for clarification, block off sensitive information such as passwords or e-mail addresses, or crop the image to only include relevant information. When you are ready, save the image as a .PNG file.
If you use Windows 10, you can use the 'Snipping tool' to create an image of a specific part of your screen. Since you are pre-cropping the screenshot, you do not have to do that afterwards in Paint, which saves time. To enable this functionality, hit the Windows key on your keyboard and type 'Snipping Tool' in the search bar.
Select 'New' to see your cursor transform into a selection cursor. Press and hold the left mouse button to drag a box around the area that you would like to share. Release the left mouse button and select 'Save' to save the image.

When the screenshot is ready to be shared, open your control panel. Click on the 'Contact' button and select 'Contact Us'.
