DNS Belgium is the registry for the domain name extensions .be, .brussels and .vlaanderen. This means they manage these extensions and are therefore responsible for setting the terms and conditions for the use of these extensions.
On the 16th of June 2025, they will change the terms and conditions for .be domains, following legislative changes in Belgium. All holders of .be domain extensions will therefore receive an email informing you about these changes, which will take effect on the 16th of September 2025.
The main change concerns the default information that is publicly visible via a WHOIS query. After the change, you will also have a bit more control as a holder over which information is publicly visible.
More information about the changes can be found on the DNS Belgium website, where you can also find the full terms and conditions.
As mentioned before, the changes will take effect on the 16th of September 2025. You do not need to take any further action. If you have any questions about the changes, you can contact DNS Belgium via the details on their website.
