If you have your own domain name you can use an Email Only Package or a Web Hosting Package to make an email address that is uniquely yours. How about first@lastname.nl or a unique email address like amy@myworldtour.global.
In front of the @ sign you can fill in a self-chosen start of your email address. The domain name you are using will always come after the @ sign.
In this article we will explain how you can create an email address using your own domain name.
We will first explain the differences between the packages you can use to create email addresses. Then we explain how you can order these packages on a domain and finally, we will indicate how to create an email address.
E-mail Only Package
If you only want to be able to send emails from your own domain name the E-mail Only package is ideally suited for your needs. Contrary to a Web Hosting package an E-mail Only package does not include web space on which to host a website.
The E-mail Only package is specifically intended to link email addresses to your domain name. With this package you will have access to a nunber of email boxes, with which you can create email addresses, email groups and email forwards. In addition, E-mail Only also offers the possibility to forward your domain to another address.
Don't forget to visit the product page of E-mail Only for more information such as how many e-mail boxes are included with the E-mail Only packages.
Web Hosting Package
If you want to be able to create more mailboxes than are included in our E-mail Only packages, you can choose to use one of our Web Hosting packages. These include more email boxes. It depends on the specific Web hosting package how many email boxes are included. In addition, with a Web hosting package you can also place your own website on your domain name.
Also visit the product page of Web Hosting Packages for more information such as how many email boxes are included with the different Web Hosting packages.
Ordering a package
When you've found the package you want to use, you will need a domain name to link the package with.
Creating an email address
As soon as you have selected a package, you can start creating email addresses in your control panel. From here, go to 'Domain' and click on the domain name with the package on it (don't tick the box).
Click on the cog wheel next to 'Your email'. From here you will be able to create new Mailboxes, new Mailforwards or go directly to our webmail client. Please note that you will need to create a Mailbox before you can use the webmail client.
