On this page you will find all information about .one domains that you register with TransIP.
Please note that different registrars may use different procedures. Is your domain not registered with TransIP? Please consult your own registrar.
Registration
- A .one domain can contain a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 63 characters.
- Emojis are not available for .one domains. Using special characters/ punycode is also not possible.
- .one domain registrations are annual and will automatically renew at the end of the one-year registration period. However, you will still receive an annual email reminder about the renewal date, in accordance with the rules of the umbrella registry ICANN.
- Please note that the expiration date in the WHOIS data and the renewal date of your domain in your control panel may differ. This occurs if the domain has been transferred in the past. In your control panel you can always find the leading renewal dates of your domains.
- After registration, there is a 60-day transfer lock active. During the transfer lock period, you cannot transfer the domain to another registrar.
Transfers
- You transfer a .one domain with a transfer code. You can find this in your control panel.
- When transferring to another registrar, the owner of the domain name will receive an email allowing you to accept or reject the transfer.
- If the domain owner accepts the transfer, it will take place immediately.
- If the domain owner rejects the transfer, the transfer will not take place.
- If the domain owner neither accepts nor rejects the transfer, the transfer will still take place after 5 days.
WHOIS
- Valid WHOIS information is required for email verification of the holder. You can change this information by following the steps in this Knowledge Base article.
- If the email verification is not completed successfully, the domain will be unreachable until the verification is completed.
- The email verification is per email address and not per domain. This means that if you have multiple domains with the same email address, you only need to verify once.
- .one domain registrations are not tied to a country or region and can therefore be registered worldwide.
Other
- When you cancel a .one domain name, the domain will be in Quarantine (also called ' Redemption period ') for 30 days. During these 30 days, the domain can still be restored. After the 30-day period, there are 5 days in which the domain cannot be restored; after these 5 days the domain becomes freely available for registration again.
- The registry charges a fee for reactivation, the costs for this are €100 excl. VAT (€121 incl. VAT).
- You can use a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 13 name servers for a .one domain name.
