    What is open source software?

Open source software is software whose source code has been published and is freely available to the public. Everyone can copy, adapt and distribute the source code freely in this way without any costs for copyrights and surcharges. The development of open source software is done through joint collaboration between individual programmers and large companies.

    Open source content management systems
An example of open source software are various content management systems (CMS'es). At TransIP it is possible to use open source CMS packages such as Wordpress on our web hosting packages. For this CMS we even have the option in your control panel to install it on your web hosting package with one click of a button.

Of course you can also download these programs for free from the website of the developers to install them manually on your web hosting package.
