What is a Plesk Service Plan?

A Service Plan is a combination of hosting resources that you offer to your customers. Simply put, a Service Plan is a (web) hosting package. In it, for example, you determine whether or not you offer web hosting, the amount of storage, data limits, and even access to analytical tools, add-ons, email, and much more.

When you assign a customer's domain to a Service Plan, you register it under that Service Plan. This is what Plesk calls a ‘subscription’.

Plesk comes by default with four different service plans: Default Domain, Default Simple, Unlimited, and a Reseller Unlimited. Additionally, you can create as many new service plans as you want, or modify existing ones as desired.

    Step 1

In the Service Provider view (adjustable at the bottom left via ‘Change view’), click on the ‘Service Plans’ button and then on the Service Plan you want to modify, or on ‘Add a plan’ to add a new one. Note: for resellers, there is a separate tab ‘Reseller Plans’.

    Step 2

On the page that appears, adjust all aspects of the service plan as desired, such as the name, maximum number of domains, email addresses, and supported PHP versions (don’t forget to check the different tabs).

When you’re finished, scroll down and click on ‘OK’ to create a new Service Plan, or on ‘Update & Sync’ to modify an existing Service Plan. In the latter case, the changes will also be applied to existing subscriptions.
