In order to manage a Kubernetes cluster, you can use a program called 'kubectl'. Simply put, Kubectl is a command-line tool with which you can execute commands on a Kubernetes cluster.
Kubectl communicates with the API server of a Kubernetes cluster for this purpose. You install kubectl on your local computer or laptop and use it from a terminal (Linux/MacOS) or command prompt (Windows), see our Kubectl installation tutorial for installation instructions.
With Kubectl, you can deploy, inspect, manage cluster resources, and view log files of applications, among other things.
